Terms and Conditions
Introduction and Definitions
This document outlines the general terms and conditions governing the provision of online couple counselling services via Atipica.
By using our services, clients agree to the terms outlined in this document.
Throughout this document, "Atipica" refers to the company created by Serena Ventura, based in London, UK, which connects clients with independent counsellors.
About Us
Atipica connects clients with independent, qualified professionals (referred to as “counsellors” or “therapists”) to provide online couple counselling services.
Atipica acts as an intermediary platform and is not responsible for the clinical delivery of the service.
Atipica facilitates payments on behalf of counsellors.
Matching Process
The matching process begins when a client submits their request through our questionnaire. Based on the information provided, Atipica selects a suitable counsellor.
Atipica and its counsellors do not provide services for emergencies, including self-harm, suicidal thoughts, or harm to others. In such cases, clients must seek immediate support from emergency services.
The assigned counsellor will provide their informed consent document before beginning sessions. If the client does not return the signed consent, these terms and conditions will apply.
Service Delivery
Once a suitable counsellor is assigned, the client is entitled to a free 15-minute consultation call to assess suitability.
Session Details:
Sessions last up to 60 minutes
Each couple counselling session costs £110
Additional services (e.g., reports or assessments) must be agreed in advance
Weekly sessions are recommended unless otherwise agreed.
Flexibility:
Clients can pause or end sessions at any time without obligation.
The counsellor may recommend ending the therapy if they believe it is no longer beneficial, which will be discussed with the client beforehand.
Privacy and Confidentiality
All personal information shared between the client and the counsellor is treated as confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is risk of harm.
Counsellors may take notes to support the therapeutic process.
Atipica complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
Liability
Atipica acts solely as an intermediary platform and is not responsible for the clinical services provided by counsellors.
Counsellors are independent professionals and are solely responsible for the services they provide.
Atipica is not responsible for service interruptions caused by external factors or unforeseen events.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
Atipica does not guarantee any specific results or outcomes from counselling services.

Each couple counselling session is £110.
Any additional services, such as reports or personalized assessments, must be agreed upon in advance between the client and counsellor.

Communication between the client and the counsellor outside of scheduled sessions is limited to administrative matters, such as booking, rescheduling, or cancellations.
For psychological matters, support is only provided during sessions. In emergencies, clients should contact local crisis services.
Scheduling, Delays, and Cancellations
Session times are agreed between the client and the counsellor.
If a client arrives late, the session will still end at the scheduled time.
Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
